Old-fashioned peach crisp mix packed with cinnamon, buttery crumbles. Just add peaches with sugar, and melted butter or margarine.
Makes two 9" crisps with peaches, apples, cherries or other fruit.
DIRECTIONS FOR ONE 9” CRISP: Preheat oven to 375ºF.
TO PREPARE FRUIT: Using Fresh or Frozen Fruits (Thawed): Peel and slice about 5 ripe peaches (about 4 cups of your favorite fruit). Sweeten to taste with about 1/4 cup sugar (depending on the tartness of your fruit) and mix in 2 tablespoons of flour. Using Canned Fruit in Syrup: Strain off syrup from 4 cups fruit and mix in 2 tablespoons of flour. Using Canned Pie Filling: Use 4 cups of filling directly from the can.
TO PREPARE TOPPING: Mix 1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) melted butter or margarine with 1-1/4 cups Peach Crisp Mix.
TO ASSEMBLE CRISP: Butter 9” pie dish and spread fruit mixture in the bottom. Sprinkle topping over fruit. Bake for about 30 minutes.
