DIRECTIONS FOR ONE DOUBLE 8” OR 9” PIE CRUST: You will also need: 8 tablespoons cold butter, margarine or solid shortening and 4-5 tablespoons ice cold water. Measure 2-1/4 cups of this mix into a bowl. Cut in cubed butter with two knives until particles are the size of small peas. While stirring with fork, sprinkle water over mixture, 1 tablespoon at a time, just until all flour is moistened and forms a ball. Divide dough in half. Wrap each half in plastic wrap and chill in freezer for 20 minutes. Roll one ball into a circle large enough to line the bottom of a pie dish. Place in pie dish and add 5-6 cups of sliced fruit or berries. Roll other ball into a circle large enough to fit over top of pie dish when full. Place on top of filling. Pinch the edge of the top crust to the edge of the bottom crust. Brush top of pie crust with milk and sprinkle sugar on top for a golden crust. Bake at 400°F for 45-55 minutes until golden brown or bake according to your favorite recipe.
